Fuel-efficient as well, the carburetor uses a fuel bowl that boosts fuel capacity by 20% and controls sloshing, thanks in part to its internal baffling. Once emptied, the built-in drain plug makes access to the contents hassle-free. Fuel level adjustment is similarly straightforward because you’ll find there are windows on both sides of the bowls. With the help of the dual 30cc accelerator pumps, it ensures you get the perfect amount of fuel from idle to full throttle. This means the mechanical secondaries create perfect off-the-line launches as well. Plus, the metering blocks are fully adjustable and include a true gasket sealing.
Since the -8AN inlet threads can be plumbed from the other side, the Ultra XP carburetor is great for custom setups. The dual pattern mounting holes also mean you can use it with either 4150 or Dominator-style flanges. Even the stainless steel secondary linkage is adjustable, allowing drivers to use 1:1 or progressive secondary throttle actuation. You can also machine the base plate to accept a vacuum source thanks to its boss. With a knurled design topping off the primary and secondary curb idle screws, adjusting the idle by hand has never been easier.
