Changing the distributor gear due to its pressed fit can pose many challenges, as can the need to cross drill the distributor shaft and set the gear to a particular height. This distributor solves these issues as it comes with a steel gear installed ready for hydraulic roller cams. It has race-proven, maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor, both delivering stable and accurate trigger signals to the MSD ignition throughout the RPM range. This distributor (85771) features a hardened steel shaft which rides in a sealed ball bearing, providing stability and endurance while turning the reluctor assembly at high RPMs. The adjustable mechanical advance assembly is mounted on top of the distributor and comes with springs and stop bushings.
