This MSD (85783) Black Pro-Billet Small Cap Distributor features a polished steel QPQ-coated shaft that's guided by a sealed ball bearing for smooth operation at all RPMs, plus a maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor that creates stable trigger signals through the entire RPM range. This distributor will come to you in a good looking CNC-machined billet aluminum housing with a billet aluminum base that's strong but lightweight! Plus, it has a mechanical advance, which is easy to adjust with the supplied springs and stop bushings, as well as an advance plate and weights that are fine-blanked from chrome moly steel and then QPQ-coated for friction reduction. The advance weight pins are staked and TIG-welded to the plate, and the included nylon pads are there to ensure smooth operation of the advance weights. Plus, the mechanical advance assembly can be locked out for crank trigger systems or racing applications!
