I have a 1967 mustang with 302 carb engine, Can i replace this coil with my stock one?? Or i have to upgrade something else. I have 8mm spark plug wiring already. And i need a resistor or something with this coil ?? Thanks

Asked by: Victor85
This will work although a resistor is required for points. I would suggest replacing the points with a Pertronix electronic ignitor. https://www.cjponyparts.com/pertronix-electronic-ignition-ignitor-single-point-v8-1965-1974/p/PER1/

Would this be a good upgrade for someone trying to get more power out of a 65 mustang 200ci inline 6?

Asked by: Bettyboop
You would need to upgrade the whole ignition system to notice any difference. You could start with a kit like this. https://www.cjponyparts.com/pertronix-tune-up-kit-6-cylinder-1965-1973/p/PERWK2/
