MSD Distributor Pro-Billet Small Cap For MSD Ignition Box 260/289/302

Ford's 260, 289 and 302 engines are packed with power for the best performance possible when put with the right parts. MSD has revolutionized their Pro-Billet Small Cap Distributor so it can be built with a more compact housing that's less obtrusive for Ford engines. It's a race-proven, high-performance distributor that will boost your Ford in a variety of applications.

This distributor has a CNC-machined billet aluminum housing that's 5/8" smaller in diameter than stock Ford distributors, give your engine more clearance in the front. The base is also made of high-quality billet aluminum and the steel shaft is polished and QPQ coated and guided by a sealed ball bearing. The black cap features stainless steel spark plug terminates and is firmly screwed to the housing. Included nylon pads ensure smooth operation of the advance weights and the weights' pins are staked and tig welded to the plate for security. The diameter cap has HEI-style terminals and a race rotor. The advance plate and weights are fine blanked from chrome moly steel, then they are QPQ coated to reduce friction and provide a longer service life.

This distributor has race-proven, maintenance-free magnetic pickup and precision reluctor that delivers stable and accurate trigger signals to your MSD ignition throughout the RPM range. A hardened steel shaft that rides in a sealed ball bearing turns the reluctor assembly for high RPM stability and endurance. The fully-adjustable mechanical advance assembly is mounted on the top and comes with springs and stop bushings. The chromoly assembly advancement rate's timing is controlled by changing the springs and stop bushings for total advance.
