NGK Spark Plugs V-Power Set 289/302/351W/170/200 L6

V-Power spark plugs are a patented design from NGK Spark Plugs designed to improve ignitability and reduce quenching. Ignitability is improved by a V-groove that is cut in the center electrode parallel to the ground electrodes. This directs the spark to the edge of the center electrode thus exposing it to more of the air/fuel mixture at one time.

Quenching is reduced in much the same manner, the spark is drawn to the edge of the center and ground electrodes which reduces the surface area available to even attempt to quench the spark.
