Baer Brakes Pro+ 13” Rear Brake System with Parking Brake Mustang 1979-2002

The system includes 13” x 1.10” rotors featuring a 6061 T-6 billet aluminum hat that is pre-assmbled to the rotor friction ring. This design not only enhances heat dissipation through its slotted and drilled pattern but also significantly reduces unsprung weight for improved handling and performance. For durability, each rotor is zinc plated, offering exceptional resistance to corrosion and wear. Its unique backing plate serves as a sturdy caliper mount and houses a 1-piece park brake shoe assembly, ensuring effective parking brake functionality. The innovative design allows the calipers to float with the factory c-clip axles, while self-centering brackets enable the caliper to move in harmony with the rotor/axle, effectively preventing piston knockback.

For rear applications, the system's 6P 6-piston calipers are designed with small and staggered piston sizes to achieve optimal brake bias and minimize pad taper, for consistent braking performance. Each caliper features six 3/8” cross bolts, reinforcing the calipers for added strength and durability, ensuring they can withstand the demands of aggressive driving or racing conditions. The calipers come equipped with dust and weather seals, ensuring the longevity and reliability of the braking system. The calipers also boast a sleek silver finish for an elegant yet rugged appearance. This system includes stainless-steel braided hoses, high-performance brake pads, rotor and hat assemblies, brackets, a park brake assembly with cables, and all necessary system hardware including pistons, abutments, and noise suppression springs!

Additional Notes:
- The minimum wheel size is 17”.
- This system has a 4x4.25” bolt circle.
- A master cylinder upgrade is recommended.
- The caliper can accept 13” and 14” rotors.
- The system uses correct banjo-style fittings.
- Baer does not use any pipe thread.
