The kit consists of HPS (High Performance Street) 5.0 Disc Brake Pads which provide a new braking experience rather than simply replacing the current Hawk Performance HPS product. Also included is a Talon Rotor Kit featuring Hawk's proprietary DTC curved slot design. Install the Brake Pads and Rotors onto your 1994-2004 SVT Cobra Mustang, 2003-2004 Mach 1 Mustang or 2001 Bullitt Mustang to succeed at the track and get home safely when you're done.

Each HPS 5.0 Disc Brake Pad features a Ferro-Carbon compound, a high-performance race compound made to handle the heat of the track. To avoid the need for modifications, each Talon Rotor is built to OE specs, weights and production processes. They are then balanced with CNC-programmed, precision-milled slots to significantly reduce harmonic resonance issues. The slots also promote a clean pad surface. Meanwhile, the cross-drilled design improves thermal efficiency, heat dissipation and wet braking. 

Tech Tip: Hawk Performance burnishes its brake pads as a final step in the factory, but all brake pads have to be bedded-in with the rotors (new or used) that they will be used against. Properly bedding-in new brake pads results in a transfer film being generated at the pad and rotor interface to maximize brake performance.
