This muffler flows 99% more than other aftermarket mufflers and produces significantly more horsepower and torque than a 2.5" open pipe. The case is aluminized steel with intricate stainless steel robotic weld seams. The muffler has a stainless steel perforated exhaust core and high temperature packing materials to absorb excessive noise while providing a mellow but powerful sound. Like all absorption-type silencers, this muffler will be most effective for sound control with lower compression, about 8.5 to 1 and lower, motors with conservative camshafters and applications using catalytic converters.  For your convenience and easy installation, this Maximum Flow muffler flows in either direction.
