Please Note: This MSD Atomic Electronic Fuel Injector Kit is C.A.R.B approved and applies to 1987 and older vehicles equipped with a carburetor.

With this kit, an EFI throttle body replaces your carburetor which can be hooked up to your current electronic fuel system. Wiring is simple with only eight connections that have to be made. The system is controlled by the Power Module and Handheld device. Initial setup takes about 5 minutes to ask a few basic questions about your specific engine. After the setup, the handheld device serves as a display so you can monitor your engine.

*This kit is meant for a car that already has fuel lines, an electronic fuel pump, and fuel filter installed. The throttle body and control parts will finish off your EFI conversion. If you are looking for a complete kit, you will want to purchase EFI2900.

*For an existing fuel system to work with the Atomic, we recommend the system be able to maintain 42psi constant and use 3/8th or “Dash 6” fuel line rated for EFI. The Atomic can support a return fuel line if needed for your application.

I am presently running a MSD pro billet distributor and 6AL-2 Programmable ignition module. Will this work with the MSD Atomic EFI? If yes, would I be correct in assuming that I would need to run the system with the Atomic ignition control deactivated?

Asked by: AllanRob632
See page 16 in the instructions for the timing control when using a 6AL. The instructions can be found below the product description.

What is the max horsepower will the MSD Atomic efi support

Asked by: nitrotiger
If your engine makes more than 525 horsepower this system could limit the engine due to fuel starvation. For engines producing 525-625 horsepower MSD offers a fuel system upgrade that will support the additional needs of such engines.
