Product Description

Prothane Polyurethane Rear Upper and Lower Coil Spring Insulator Set for all 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 Mustangs.

Upgrade your worn original coil spring insulators to these polyurethane insulators that will help prevent that annoying and awful squeaking. Polyurethane will also provide your ride with a stiffer, more sport-like feel. This set includes insulators for the rear upper and lower coil springs.

It’s strongly encouraged that whenever you install upgraded lowering springs on your 1979-2004 Mustang, that you get new spring insulators to go along with them. The stock insulators can fall apart and become brittle over time, so be sure to pick up these polyurethane insulators to rid of any annoying squeaks caused by the OE insulators.

*Will work with factory or aftermarket coil springs. We recommend new insulators when installing new springs.
*This coil spring insulator set will NOT fit on 1999-2004 Cobra IRS model Mustangs.

We’re here with a set of rear Prothane polyurethane coil spring insulators fitting your 1979 through 2004 Mustang. If you're replacing the rear springs in your solid-axle 1979 through 2004 Mustang, it's an excellent idea at the same time to replace the coil spring insulators. The insulators mount on the top and the bottom of the spring, control the spring's movement, and also keep it from making noise. If you get a lot of movement in your rear springs or a lot of noise from your suspension, many times the factory insulators are beat up and have to be replaced. The factory one is going to be a very soft rubber and it will dry out over time. These Prothane units are made of polyurethane and are going to be much stronger and last a lot longer. These polyurethane spring insulators are sold as a complete set for your rear suspension. Matching fronts are also available at cjponyparts.com.
