To ease the installation process on this American made hardware a hex head nuts are utilized. This hardware kit features two added benefits. One, the studs hold the gasket in place while the installation is in progress. Two, the studs assist in the pan alignment to ensure a straight installation.

Please Note: While following the manufacturers recommended torque sequence, tighten the nuts to the ARP recommended torque specifications using ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant. This is a longer stud to allow proper installation of oil pans with rail reinforcements.
Tech Tip: ARP recommends using the ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant as opposed to motor oil or other low quality lubricants. This is due to higher friction on the studs as well as inconsistencies in the clamping force of the fasteners when insufficient lubricants are used.
