This kit is specially designed for the GM “F-Body” windage tray sold under part number GM 12558253. Not only does it offer an OEM fitment, but it also creates proper structural rigidity for reliable performance.

Don’t worry about exclusively using an OEM oil filter because the kit works with almost any off-the-shelf filter. For example, you can pair it with the filter sold under part number 57060 by Wix or HP-1017 by K&N. Regardless of your choice, you’ll enjoy the sump’s 6.1-quart capacity when combined with the filter.

Additional Notes:
- Not intended for use with engines that originally used a dry sump system.
- Mustang models MUST have a factory K-member and a Foxbody rack and pinion in order to use the kit.
- The “F-body” windage tray will require modifications to provide clearance to the pick-up tube. A full-length tray may be used as well, as long as it’s shortened and cut to provide the same clearance.
