Driveshaft failure has been the cause behind more than one engine taking the one way trip to the salvage yard. To avoid this all too common problem and protect your 289 or 302 engine this ARP 154-7904 Pro-Series ARP2000 Oil Pump Driveshaft features an extra heavy-duty shaft for increased durability and strength.

Your engine is held together by a myriad of nuts, bolts and screws, which allow it to work despite the incredible pressures and forces acting upon it. However, what happens if that hardware fails, or you need to upgrade it to handle additional performance? With the hardware from ARP, you're getting the best products on the market, and those trusted by Formula 1, IndyCar, NHRA and NASCAR.
Please Note: While following the manufacturers recommended torque sequence, tighten the nuts to the ARP recommended torque specifications using ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant.
Tech Tip: ARP recommends using the ARP Ultra-Torque Fastener Assembly Lubricant as opposed to motor oil or other low quality lubricants. This is due to higher friction on the studs as well as inconsistencies in the clamping force of the fasteners when insufficient lubricants are used.
