MSD Ultra 6A Ignition Control Box.
The MSD Ultra 6A Ignition Control Box offers a plug-and-play upgrade for current installations with an MSD Digital 6A Ignition Controller (part #6201). Featuring a new processor and board design, this versatile upgrade provides a highly efficient ignition for a wide range of vehicles with minimal heat, maximum spark energy, and less current being drawn. Significantly smaller and lighter than the MSD Digital 6A, it weighs just 344 grams compared to the previous 688 grams. It also comes in your choice of finish.

Designed for high RPM operation and maximum output, the Ultra 6A works seamlessly with the Blaster HVC (part #8252) or HVC II (part #8253). The powerful capacitive discharge of multiple sparks ensures complete combustion, consistently delivering high spark energy of 135mJ to 150mJ for every firing, from idle to redline RPM.
It installs on 4, 6, and 8-cylinder engines with distributors and operates on most 7 to 28-volt electrical systems. It connects to points and magnetic pickups and is fully protected against Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) such as an open coil, shorted coil, or open load. The compact design retains full MSD power, quickening throttle response and improving starting. It also features a tach output to drive an external tachometer.
