Ford Performance's starter index plate, which goes between the block and the transmission bellhousing, positions the starter properly. This ensures proper starter to ring gear alignment.

This starter index plate fits 4.6 and 5.4L modular engines with 4R70, 4R75 and 4R100 automatic transmissions. These are genuine Ford parts for your Mustang.
Tech Tip: This separator plate can also be used when attaching a 4R70W transmission to 2005-2010 Mustang GTs or 2007-2012 GT500s.
Please Note: Will not fit the 5R55S transmission used on 2005-2010 GT Mustangs.
