Dakota Digital BIM Expansion OBD-II/CAN Interface Mustang 1965-1973

The BIM-01-2 OBD-II (J1850/CAN) Interface (BIM-01-2) allows you to plug directly into the engine diagnostic port, extracting engine and transmission data from your vehicle’s computer (ECM). The BIM-01-2 will collect and output information to your Dakota Digital Instrument System.

Due to the various factory and modified ECM's, additional data including (Intake Temp, Transmission Temp, Ambient Air Temp, Oil Pressure, and Gear Position) may be available, but will vary from application to application. Dakota Digital cannot guarantee the presence or accuracy of the Coolant Temp, Intake Temp, Transmission Temp, Ambient Air Temp, Oil Pressure, Boost or Gear Position displays since this is a function of the ECM and matching OEM functional sensors.

Please Note:
- If you are concerned about compatibility with your vehicle please contact our sales or tech department.
- GEN I and II Coyote engines receive Speed, Tach, Water, and Volts directly from the Can Bus system, but will require Part #130071 in order to install the oil pressure sensor. Gen III Coyote engines receive all of that information along with Oil Pressure.
- GM Connect & Cruise packages do not transmit the gear position data, preventing the BIM-01-2 from acquiring this information.
