Eastwood 2K Epoxy Primer Gray 12Oz. Aerosol Can is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works OK Happy that an epoxy primer is available in a can. The reviews I have read before purchasing are more obvious after actually using the product. I used it on the trunk of my car and glad to have it done with epoxy primer. But... because having to hold the can horizontal I only got good spray for about half of the can. So I had two cans thinking that was more than I needed but turns out that I could use at least one more can. I'm debating on what to do now by either leave it as it is or scuff it and add another coat. I also agree with others that the price is very high for the quantity.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good Product if you can get it out of the can. Used this as a base on my truck frame and hitch after removing surface rust. Great product but just like most of the reviews the nozzle clogged on the last third. Cleaned it and got it working for a while but it eventually plugged shut. For the high cost per can, Eastwood needs a lot better nozzle if they are going to keep customers happy with this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for small projects I used this primer for my engine bay detailing project on my C-body Chrysler. I used an entire can to paint my radiator yoke, the inside flanges of the fenders, and front panel. It built up nicely and sealed areas of old paint, corrosion after sanding them down with 400 grit and treating properly. It provided a good base for my acrylic enamel top coat to match the body color. It smelled like real automotive paint, and I used proper protection as recommended. I plan on getting another can for future small projects. The only downside is the cost, of course, but it's better than Rust-Oleum primer, hands down!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Useless if it won't spray Bought this product to coat my recently installed floor pan. If I angle the can down enough stop turning the spray into dust before it hits the floor pan, it stops spraying. Useless for hood, roof, and trunk lid as well. Just use a spray gun. If you don't have one, save the cost of this can and get one instead.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Turned out so, so I ended up with mixed results on the 2k Aero-spray grey. Some of the primer came out very smooth and laid down very, very nice. As well as when I've used an air gun in the past. And then a couple came out gritty and not smooth at all and did not lay down nearly as nice. The spray stream sputtered from time to time on the ones that turned out poorly. Completely different result from the same product. Granted I was doing this in my garage and not a paint booth, but the conditions during the spray times were almost identical as was the prep of the metal and I followed the instructions on the can to a T (including tossing cans that were outside the pot life). The first two cans were great. The third came out gritty. I thought ok, an anomaly. I sanded the gritty primer to smooth and sprayed it again with a new can...same results. These are floor pans that I am replacing and they will either be covered with a bed liner or with carpet at some point, so it will probably turn out ok for me. I will have to get some fine sand paper I think to smooth it out. I'd be reluctant to try this product again, especially if I was going to apply paint to it in a visible location on the truck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rock solid Great product.. This primer covers great and sands the next day like magic. Be sure to wear a mask and shoot within 8 to 10 inches or you get overspray on fresh paint. Can holds 2 oz. more than your color paint can so be sure to buy enough paint to cover.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sprays nicely This primer sprays a nice mist almost like a spray gun. I haven't top coated it yet but the surface looks good. My only issue is that because it sprays such a fine mist, you have to make a lot of passes and I ran out of paint before I was completely comfortable with the amount of coverage. Had to order another can, but the product itself is very nice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good product to have in the tool kit It has it's spraying limitations due to position but hold the can vertically and it works very well. If they could figure out a way to make the can work in other positions this would be a stellar product. Don't get me wrong it has it's place but won't replace breaking out a gun and mixing up some epoxy to shoot.
