Eastwood 15 Ounce Aerosol Can of Black Rubberized Rust Encapsulator Undercoating.Eastwood's Rubberized Rust Encapsulator is the flexible version of their high-performance Rust Encapsulator coating that applies directly over rust or bare metal to provide long-term corrosion protection.
Unlike off-the-shelf under coatings, Rubberized Rust Encapsulator can be applied directly over rust and without the "bubbling" that creates air pockets thus trapping rust. Since it's engineered with high-tech flex agents, its pliable finish protects surfaces from abrasions, road hazards and deadens sound. So durable it exceeded 1,000 hours of salt spray chamber testing, this surpasses the standards for a 2-component catalyzed coating! Withstands up to 250F.
Simply apply directly over rust or bare metal; no need to topcoat. Remains flexible and durable. Features a satin black finish.
*15 ounce aerosol can covers about 10 square feet.

I used Eastwood's rubberized rust encapsuloator to under coat the entire bottom side of my car. It's no where near as thick going as shown in Eastwood's videos. I will say that it looked nice, but that's the only positive. I replaced the brake system on this car shortly after undercoating. Well I like to clean the new rotors & calipers off with brake cleaner before buttoning up. I noticed where brake cleaner had spattered on the wheel wells the undercoat had virtually started running off like black water color. Fastforward 3 months later installing a panhard bar. I had to drill bolt holes in the sub frame. It was recommended that you spray WD-40 on the drill bit to help keep it cool while drilling the holes. Again very disappointed to find out that even the WD-40 was very effective in removing this product. I have to strongly recommend against Eastwood's Rubberized Rust Encapsulator. Save your hard earned money!!! I found duplicolor's rubberized rust encapsulator on sale 2 cans for $7 it goes on thick, like a spray in bed liner, and so far it's holding up way better than Eastwood's version.
I used this to undercoat part of my 67 as I wanted the rest prevention benefits as well as an undercoating. It went on thinner than expected - there is not a lot of texture to it, but it went on evenly and looks great. Only other detractor was the nozzle would occasionally clog. I had to remove and reinsert the nozzle, then it would work as expected. I've already gotten more for the rest of the underside.
