Anvil Carbon Fiber Heat Extractor Hood for 1969-1970 Mustangs.

Lower under hood temps and relieve built up air pressure with this custom designed hood. Utilizes factory hinges and has provisions for the OEM latch. You can shed a lot of weight by replacing the stock steel hood with this functional carbon fiber hood.

Available in 100% Carbon or Dry Carbon with a gloss or satin finish.

Hood pins are recommended for all carbon fiber or fiberglass hoods. Hood pins should be used as a precautionary measure in case the latch gives out. Anvil hoods are bolt on, just like steel hoods, but the threaded inserts are imbedded as opposed to being welded in the case of steel hoods. The undersides of all carbon fiber hoods have a perimeter frame with a finish much like the top side.

Anvil auto produces interior and exterior pieces in carbon fiber and fiberglass. Carbon fiber pieces are available with a gloss or satin finish. Some dry carbon pieces are available as well. Dry carbon has resin infused in the cloth which will create a much lighter part and that of a higher quality and cost.

All carbon fiber parts have an OEM fit but are much lighter. Carbon fiber is also lighter and more stable than fiberglass parts. Parts will not warp in the sun unless undue stress is applied to them (ie, hood springs that are too strong). All parts have a UV clear coat on them, but if you decide to paint then, you will need to use a UV clear coat. Carbon fiber parts can be painted body color. Scuff sand the surface, primer, paint, and clear coat.
