Mustang Speedometer Cable Concours Automaticand 3 Speed 1967-1968
Concours Speedometer Cable for 1967 Mustangs with an Automatic Transmission or 3-Speed Manual Transmission or 1968 Mustangs with a Automatic Transmission.
This exact reproduction features the correct, sponge-rubber firewall seal. Has a threaded end that connects to the back of the speedometer. Also features a metal portion crimped onto the cable at the transmission end that the speedo gear clips onto and gets an o-ring for sealing. Has a retaining bracket incorporated on the cable that bolts to the transmission to hold the gear in the transmission.
*Not for 1968 automatics with factory 3.91 or 4.30 rear axle.
*The overall length of this cable is 65" from end to end.

Correct Fit
This cable was a perfect fit and length, easy to install,comes with firewall grommet and cable protecter at tranny crossmember. I lubed it, after removing inner cable from casing, with lithium grease and tranny fluid.Put some sealant at "0" ring . No more bouncing speedo. About 1 hour to complete.
Speedometer Cable
Just installed this cable yesterday. The nut that screws into the speedometer slips forward of its stop. You have to press the cable in the speedometer firmly before you can tighten the nut. There is supposed to be a flange that keeps the nut from coming forward. The ones on this cable are too small. Was a real pain to install.
