COMP Cams Nitrous HP NX274HR Camshaft Set with a 2200-6200 RPM Range for 1985-1995 Mustangs with Nitrous Injected 5.0L Engines.

Available with camshaft only, camshaft and lifers, small kit or complete kit.

This hydraulic roller camshaft will fit Ford 5.0 Liter engines from 1985-2001.

The Nitrous HP family differs from the base XE series by use of a wider lobe separation and added exhaust duration. This shifts the power to higher RPMs where it can be used in nitrous applications. Early exhaust opening helps scavenge the extra spent gasses out from nitrous or forced induction engines. Some torque and responsiveness is sacrificed compared to the base XE family. This is for improved performance with nitrous oxide. COMP Cams roller rockers and matched valve springs work best with Nitrous HP camshafts.

Street/strip applications with a 100-175HP nitrous kit or medium blower will benefit from this camshaft. The engine will generate a rough idle.
