JLT Big Air Cold Air Kit for 2010-2014 GT500 Mustangs.When developing their 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 intake, JLT did something completely different and integrated the MAF housing with the intake tube. This change made for a much smoother intake-tube interior without any transitions, steps or couplers to upset the air flow. In addition to boosting horsepower, the Big Air Cold Air Kit looks awesome! This is which incorporates the MAF housing into the tube.
JLT's new GT500 intake is a full 123mm ID at the MAF area and fits under the stock strut tower bar. It also has a new larger heat shield with two mounting points and a weather strip that seals to the hood. The huge 5" opening on the tube requires a huge filter, so JLT teamed up with S&B and gave them some measurements. The result? A monster 5" X 9" tapered-flange design filter with Powerstack filtered ends that is a full 8.25" across at the base and 5.5" at the top. Finish it off with a silicone coupler and stainless clamps and you got the cheapest 123mm Intake on the market.
