Anvil Fiberglass Cowl Panel with Aluminum Screen for 1969-1970 Mustangs.
Add retro-mod style to your Mustang with this bolt-on panel that installs between the hood and front window. It has a revised grille opening covered with a mesh aluminum screen.
Anvil auto produces interior and exterior pieces in carbon fiber and fiberglass. All fiberglass parts have an OEM fit but are much lighter. Anvil also makes carbon fiber parts which are lighter and more stable than fiberglass parts. Parts will not warp in the sun unless undue stress is applied to them (ie, hood springs that are too strong). All parts have a UV clear coat on them, but if you decide to paint then, you will need to use a UV clear coat. Fiberglass parts can be painted body color. Scuff sand the surface, primer, paint, and clear coat.
The Mustang was introduced in 1964 and was immediately a huge hit. It was a sporty, affordable car that was easy to customize. A pattern that actually continues today. Go to any Mustang car show, you will find far more custom cars than you will see originals, however, that wasn’t the case 25 years ago when CJ’s first got in to business. Back then restorations were all the rage, sometimes down to the factory paint markings and factory overspray. Some restorers will go outside the box a little bit by adding factory options that weren’t original, such as power steering and power brakes and maybe a console, but beyond that they would not change much.
Today, it is all about the resto mod. There is a whole new breed of restorers who are customizing their Mustang’s and take them far beyond the performances limits the factory ever envisioned. This particularly ’67 built by CJ Service, features a 347-stroker, TKO transmission, big brakes, 18-inch wheels and plenty of custom mods to the lighting as well as the body. Many manufacturers are starting to cater to the resto mod market and one of the big ones is Anvil Auto. They produce carbon fiber panels for your ’65 through ’70 Mustang. Anvil Auto produces high-quality carbon fiber panels for your ’65 through ’70 Mustang. All their products are available in either this high-gloss finish or satin finish. They produce panels for interior replacement, exterior replacement panels, as well as custom pieces such as this three-piece wing for this ’69 to ’70 Mustang.
This is a dash trim kit for your ’69 through ’70 Mustang. As you can see, this is real carbon fiber. It’s not an overlay. The passenger side piece is available with or without the cut-out for the clock and has a proper cut-out in place for your Mustang emblem and also has the under dash cut out for your map light. As we said before, all of Anvil’s products are available in either a high-gloss finish or a satin-finish.
Here we have a high-gloss bezel and underneath it we have a satin-bezel for comparison. We have mocked up a few of Anvil’s products on this ’70 grabber blue Mustang. It will be a classic resto mod with a 418-stroker backed by a TKO 600 transmission. In this case, we put on a gloss front bumper and a satin spoiler so that you can see the contrast between the two pieces, as well as how well they fit the car. Just like the interior panels, the front spoiler and the front bumper are both full carbon fiber. The front bumper has all the mounting studs embossed in to the carbon fiber for easy installation. In addition to the pieces that we have shown you today, Anvil Auto offers a bunch of other products for your ’65 through ’70 Mustang including hoods, fenders, deck lids, scoops, mirrors and several other products. If you are looking for something to truly set your next resto mod apart, take a look at our selection of Anvil Auto products.
