This turned out to be a better fix then taking the chance on a new replacement pad. This cover fit the pad of my 1980 perfectly, has a very good feel to it despite it being a single piece of plastic. It was a perfect fit and the supplied glue worked very well. I let mine dry for 24 hrs to to ensure a soild joining. The pad took paint very well even though it came in black, I painted it satin black and then clear coated it in satin before glueing it in place. The pad's placement doesn't interfere with the screw placement for securing the pad to the dash hull. All in all...I'm very pleased with the product.
